In the Midst of Reaching the World of Flying

Philippine-Airlines-Cabin-Crew-Hirng-2015

First, I want to apologize because it’s been a long time since I posted a new blog post because I’m busy preparing for my impact interview with Philippine Airlines on July 20! Yep, you’re reading it right. First step of achieving my dreams! It’s very exciting and nerve-racking at the same time since it’s my first time and I don’t have enough idea what will happen on that day.

While I’m taking a break, I want to share my story on how I got invited by PAL.

July 5, 2016, I woke up extra early, took a bath and wore my dog-patterned button down long sleeve polo shirt from a thrift shop paired with a black pants. Ang detailed masyado lol. We’re in a hurry because Tita Mavic will catch us at exactly 5:30 AM since makikisabay lang kami. Sucks that I wasn’t able to charge my phone. It’s on 35%! Imagine how am I gonna survive a day with that battery percentage. Anyway, I put my make up inside the car, fixed everything to make myself  good-looking.

Me and my mom reached Philippine Airlines Pasay city office around 8:05 AM. I asked the security guard where I can drop my resume and he said that I should proceed on Information Desk. (Tip: I read some of blogs that the application process is a bit faster when you pass your resume directly to the office rather than online.) As I passed my resume, I looked inside and I saw a bunch of aspiring FA applicants waiting in line! Wow. They all looked so good, as in pang-FA material ang peg nila. I tell my mom that we should go but she refused. She asked the guard some questions regarding the interview, what will happen, etc.

Become a Flight Attendant: The 7 Day Preparation by Jaimie De Belen Book Review

51twVErcBSL

Note: This is my first book review and all the information stated below are based on my OPINION.

Who wouldn’t love to become a Flight Attendant? Siguro yung mga takot lang sa heights. Chos. On a serious note, I think anyone especially girls wanted to become a Flight Attendant someday—including me, of course. Anyway, there’s A LOT of attractive benefits in this industry but let’s talk about the most popular benefit, you get paid to travel in different destinations for FREE. Amazing, right? Syempre, hindi lang naman puro sarap, this job has pros and cons also.

As an aspiring FA (claiming, haha!), I’ve read a lot of books and ebooks about the life of a Cabin Crew and I must say this book really helped me. Although hindi pa ako nakakapagsubmit ng application kasi I’m still preparing. From resume preparation to interview process, Ms. Jaimie wrote an accurate information.

This book contains a 7-Day Preparation Checklist:

Bienvenue sur mon blog!

IMG_4897Translation: “Welcome to my blog!”

Pardon my title, I just saw Camie Juan’s latest blog post about her trip to Bern, Switzerland that’s why I’ve been searching about the European culture right now. Man, every corner in Switzerland is Instagram worthy. Who wouldn’t love that!?

Okay, enough of lengthy introduction and let’s get back to the real agenda. After 5 years of doing crazy stuff, I’M BACK TO BLOGGING! Yes, you’re reading it right! My last blog post was on Tumblr. I’ll just keep my URL secret because I don’t want you guys to witness my jejeness before. I missed blogging. Really. Expressing midnight thoughts, composing love letters, and inspiring people about my experiences in life. Great feeling, indeed. I admit, I love writing but my grammar isn’t that good enough. Maybe writing thesis is a good practice, right? Lol! If you have seen grammatical errors from my posts, forgive me. Still practicing.

Anyway, I want to update you guys on what am I doing right now: (This was inspired by Yaya Dub’s blog post, don’t judge)

  • Loving my hair! It’s getting longer now, probably 2-inch long from the original cut. I got my hair cut last September before our Singapore-Malaysia tour because of dry hair ends. That’s quick though! Keep on growing, hair!
  • Listening to No Control by One Direction. It’s Louis Tomlinson’s birthday today so as a Directioner, I am obligated to listen to HIS song. He just slayed there, you guys should listen and appreciate how lovely Louis’ voice is.
